Verizon has informed CWA that they intend to offer an EISP (Enhanced Income Security Plan) in the Potomac Region, in the fourth quarter of 2013.
Verizon wants to open negotiations to discuss terms and conditions of the offer.
CWA will be entering into these talks in the coming days. We will negotiate the best possible offer we can for our members.
Verizon has asked that the terms and conditions of the agreement be finalized by October 31st. Their intent is to have two off payroll dates, one in 2013 and the other in 2014.
The job titles that will be targeted are Cable Splicing Technicians, Service Technicians, Special Services, Maintenance Administrators, Clerks and Operators. They will target a total of 405 associates.
I will have additional information very soon on how this will affect any Term Employees.
